Chris White grew up in East Tennessee and has spent his entire career working with trees. What started as hands-on field work developed into a deep understanding of tree biology, structural risk, safe removal techniques, and the specific challenges that East Tennessee's terrain, weather, and native tree species present. Chris founded Whites Tree Services to offer property owners in Knoxville and surrounding communities a trustworthy, locally owned alternative — a company where the owner shows up, does the work, and stands behind every job personally. Over the past decade, Chris has handled thousands of tree projects across Loudon County and Knox County — from routine trimming and hedge maintenance to large-scale hazardous tree removals and emergency storm response. His familiarity with the most common East Tennessee tree species — including oak, maple, pine, hickory, poplar, cedar, dogwood, and sweetgum — allows him to assess tree health, structural risk, and the safest removal approach with accuracy built from years of real field experience.

Chris White and his crew removed a large tree, sitting closely between two houses, for us today. I was so impressed with the whole process. They brought the tree down slowly so our yard was basically untouched. The guys cleaned up everything down to the last twig. I would HIGHLY recommend Chris White to everyone who needs tree service. We had a large tree go down overnight due to high winds. Fortunately it did not hit the house, but still caused damage and blocked the driveway. One call to White’s this morning, Chris came out to give us an estimate which was competitive. The crew was out within 30 minutes. They did an excellent job, even had a stump grinder called in to assist. The tree was taken down, all the debris cleaned up and hauled away. Excellent service, polite, they take pride in their work, would highly recommend.
We are so happy we found this tree company. Sent message over the weekend after losing massive, well over 100 year old Oak tree in our yard. They quickly responded, out the next day for estimate then early show the following day. Professional from start to finish. I pointed out a couple more trees and will absolutely be contacting this tree company for all tree related issues. Hard finding such a reliable professional company like this!!
We have had Chris take down trees that looked like they were going fall and he and his crew did a great job . Another time we needed him when a storm knocked down a huge tree across the road and he came out quickly to get that mess cleaned up. He has always been very reasonably priced!
This guy’s tree work is top-notch-my yard’s never looked better. And the firewood? Burns like a dream, stacks perfect, and delivers a grin with every log. Sure, he won’t haul freebies, but why would you want handouts when you get quality like this?
These guys are great! I had a huge tree fall from my shoreline across to the other side of the cove which blocked all boats from exiting the cove. Chris came in with a plan and made it happen quickly and removed the tree out of the water. It was amazing, quick and efficient and a ton cheaper than the alternative of a barge and crane coming in.
If you need trees cut look no farther! These gentlemen are extremely professional very polite and courteous. Their price and service are unmatched in this area especially if you need trees cut in and around a golf course. As with all trees that are of any size some damage to ones yard might occur. It's the nature of the job. Well Whites tree services assured me they would fix any problem that occurred. Which they did with great care to the point I can't tell they were back there!!! But, the trees are gone. Perfect job and great company!! Thanks again such a blessing
